Changing things up for 2010, CSU decided to do two productions for its summer theater offering, dubbed Shakespeare at Sunset. My approach to this poster was the duality of doing two shows simultaneously.

It was fun to have that duality be the subject, rather than trying to unify the two or split the poster in half and do two mini-posters. I knew I wanted to avoid my usual "color block," basing the composition around this kind of Venn diagram instead. It made for some really interesting type choices - definitely channeling my best Paula Scher in this poster.

This poster was an exercise in pushing myself out of my comfort zone (that could be my motto for the year, actually) as well as a fun opportunity to reuse the "Shakes" identity I created for last year's S@S. So far I like the results.
